\nIt was pretty chilly in the room last night, but the radiator wasn’t turned on and we couldn’t find any AC controls. Well, we found the controls here after we opened the blinds. It was chilly, but it was the good kind of chilly since it was a small cozy room and we could just cuddle for warmth.<\/p>\n

\nAnother cloudy day in London, typical. We are going to head to airport, gotta recheck in through security.<\/p>\n

\nWe’ve got this maze of a hotel figured out this morning. Only got lost…once.<\/p>\n

\nLook at all those plug adapters that are available for loan. I bet most if not all of them were left by other travelers by accident.<\/p>\n

\nYeah, we ate fish and chips, and so what if it’s a touristy thing to eat. It was so good.<\/p>\n

\nPaddington Station just straight ahead from the front door of our hotel. Easy peasy.<\/p>\n

\nHeathrow Express again. Love using contactless credit card to get in and out of the train.<\/p>\n

\nIn less than 30min again, we were here at Terminal 3.<\/p>\n

\nBusiness class tickets means we get our own fast security line.<\/p>\n

\nGeneral waiting area, but we are headed to the business class lounge for food, drinks, and some quieter environment. Though, I will say I miss the people watching of sitting in the general seating area.<\/p>\n

\nMore drink time. Such a drastic change from dry Morocco.<\/p>\n

\nThis business class seat is even newer and nicer than the previous cross Atlantic flight.<\/p>\n

\nEven has a shoulder belt, that can be detached.<\/p>\n

\nMy bent headphone plug meant that only one ear had sound. A new set of headphones fixed that.<\/p>\n

\nOppenheimer. I’m sure they didn’t shoot the movie intended for people to watch this epic on a small TV while flying across the Atlantic.<\/p>\n

\nFood was good, but the portions were a little disappointing. I was left a little hungry.<\/p>\n

\nI think total flight time was around 10 hours. I tried to nap, but couldn’t stay asleep for long.<\/p>\n

\nRL on the other hand had no trouble sleeping. Lucky her.<\/p>\n

\nWe had initiated a whole new day of roaming charges of $10 per phone by just minutes. Shoulda put phone onto airplane mode earlier right when we got on the plane.<\/p>\n

\nBack in Austin!!!<\/p>\n

\nLet’s see how our big box arrives. It came down the ramp, and as it hit the carousel, it did a massive tumble. It was a big enough tumble we could hear “Ohhhhh” of horror from everyone else who watched as they waited for their luggage. Yeah, it was bad. I guess fragile sticker didn’t warranty them not putting it on the usual luggage handling belts.<\/p>\n

\nThe box had been cut up and re taped. I guess to check inside? It also had dents on the side…sigh. I hope the stuff inside didn’t suffer too much damage.<\/p>\n

\nSinks in the foreground. Can’t believe we carried these back by hand from Morocco. Lol.<\/p>\n

\nHad to call Uber XL to make sure it’ll fit the giant box.<\/p>\n

\nLook at that damage! It was not definitely not handled carefully. Fuckers.<\/p>\n

\nAnd this is the damage incurred during transport. Makes me sad.<\/p>\n

\nMore dents. We’ll try to restore this and see if we can make it serviceable still.<\/p>\n

\nOur haul from Morocco. This is not even showing the spices and records that we brought back for friends and family. I can’t believe we brought all this stuff back, it’s so much!<\/p>\n

\nCheap, handmade antique lamp means it can be hammered back into shape with just the right amount of imperfection and patina. I think it’ll be just fine after some TLC from RL.<\/p>\n

Morocco disappointed in the limited food selection that we could find easily as tourists. The difficulty in finding alcohol outside of our riad was a little bit of a bummer. The architecture was amazing. Fes and Tangier were awesome. Marrakesh is too touristy now, but maybe would stop by again just to shop for home furnishing and ship back via pallet or container. My gut also did not enjoy whatever spice they put in their food here. For about a whole week, I’ve had to take two Imodium daily just to keep things at bay. Part of it was the lack of clean public restrooms. Our most adventurous trip since our honeymoon 10 years ago, it’s nice to know we’ve still got it a little.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
