Continued from Chachagua Day 2 Part 1<\/a>.<\/p>\n

After what was a very painful and frustrating lunch where the kids complained about every food put in front of them, we got back in the pool.<\/p>\n

\nWe decided to try to move past our frustrations and join the kids in playing Marco Polo. This decision to play with the kids actually turned the whole day around and the kids had a blast playing with us. We had a blast playing with them too.<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nThis pool is just the right size for Marco Polo with the kids. Small enough where you can actually catch someone, but also not so small that it’s too easy.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nLittle KL is almost always the first to be caught. He splashes and makes so much noises.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nAlright, whose next!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\nRL’s turn to be Marco.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\nIt didn’t take us long to figure out that the kids were cheating and opening their eyes when it was their turn to be Marco. The towel of the cheaters solved that problem. Haha.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\nPL asked RL not to take photos of her wearing the towel of cheaters. RL didn’t take this photo, I did. Hah.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nMagically, after wearing the towels, the game became more challenging and more fun for everyone. Good times.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\nChildren, attack!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\nEnough time at our own pool, the kids want to check out the hot springs now.<\/p>\n

\nIt’s on the other side of the resort, maybe like a 3min walk?<\/p>\n

\nCL points.<\/p>\n

\nFound. It was more like warm springs than hot springs. Fine by me.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nThere’s also a pool fed by the creek with a water slide. This pool was very cold.<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nKids braving the cold to reach the waterslide. I wanted to get pictures of them so I had to brave the cold as well.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\nSo cold.<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nRL still doesn’t wanna get in.<\/p>\n

\nWaterslide train.<\/p>\n

\nIn retrospect, wasn’t the best idea as I just ended up slamming into the back of the kids once we hit the water.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\nWhile me and the kids were at the cold pool slide, RL held out and stayed at the nice comforting hot springs instead.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nFrom the cold slide pool, there was a little rocky path to the creek. At the creek, we saw another slide that stopped high above the water. I swam under the slide to check on the depth of the pool, then the kids urged me to go. Alright…let’s do this. The girls were brave and wanted to join me as well.<\/p>\n

\nIt was a lot scarier than it looks!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nCL was next to go.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nThen it was PL’s turn.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nShe someone managed to fall forward into the water and the water hit her on her palms and face.<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nLittle KL isn’t strong enough of a swimmer so he just looked on while we did the tall slide.<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nAlright, once is enough for the scary slide, time to go back to the fun slide.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\nRemember the part where I said going down the slide as a train was a bad idea? Well, apparently we haven’t learned yet.<\/p>\n

\nDrinks from the restaurant.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\nIt’s so hard to get a family photo where everyone is looking at the camera. Usually one kid is messing around and won’t look at the camera on purpose. Usually that’s little KL.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nThe leaf impaled itself.<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nHeaded back to our room after some hot spring time.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nCL points.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nGreat day at the pool and at the hot springs with the kids. Showered them, left them in the room on their ipads, and it’s adult porch time.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nBeen drinking all day, pretty tired. Looks peaceful and felt peaceful for about 5 minutes, then I realized that I was getting lit up by mosquitos on the hammock. Time to head inside to chill out until dinner time.<\/p>\n

\nIt’s tiring spending all day with kids. Coffee at night.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nAfter all the complaining about food during lunch, tonight the girls are having salmon with rice and beans, and Little KL got chicken tenders with fries. No complaints about food tonight, but I think they are also hungry from playing in the water all day.<\/p>\n

After dinner, we watched part of a movie with the kids and then put them to bed.<\/p>\n

\nIt’s adult swim time. RL and I came out to the pool after dark and found these tree frogs getting it on right by the pool.<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nThey are not afraid of people at all. You can go up inches to them and take pictures of them without them caring at all.<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nFound another tree frog.<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nHere’s another male frog trying to attract a mate. He was making a lot of noises and RL kept on being worried that he would jump on her in the dark. This is so cool to be swimming amongst red eyed tree frogs!<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nThen it started raining, like it does in rainforests. Magical. The rain hits the surface of the water and we see splashes of glow as it refracts the underwater pool light. It feels like we are inside the Avatar movie Pandora with the plants, rain, frogs sounds, bird sounds, insect sounds, etc. etc. It’s just a fantastic experience out here.<\/p>\n
