\nAnother beautiful morning.<\/p>\n

\nToday will be a lazy slow day. Coffee and blogging on the balcony, sweet.<\/p>\n

\nMy happy place.<\/p>\n

\nI noticed that far in the distance, there were a bunch of surfers in the water.<\/p>\n

\nNo bird, I’ve got nothing for you.<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nIt’s laundry day as well. I found a full service laundry place a short drive from the hotel. I’ll take a taxi there to drop off.<\/p>\n

\"\"
\n$44 dollars for 17 pounds of laundry. Not a bad deal since I don’t need to waste my morning waiting around for it. Takes about 3 hours to finish.<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nWhile I went to drop off laundry, Ah Ma and RL took the kids shopping.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\nMorning hula lessons on the resort grounds.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\nKoi pond is always a hit.<\/p>\n

\nAh ma points.<\/p>\n

\nWhat ah ma was pointing at. Cool reflection in the water.<\/p>\n

\nI think this is a C5 galaxy. I saw this from the balcony while the kids were shopping.<\/p>\n

\nTravel blogging is exhausting. I got hungry and ate some dim sum leftovers.<\/p>\n

\nGirls loving their new outfits.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\nWe left the kids with the grandparents for a bit. Time for some kid free time.<\/p>\n

\nNot tsunami time, definitely not.<\/p>\n

\nRL always matches me on color. It’s just something that we do accidentally all the time.<\/p>\n

\nFound a bar, let’s drink.<\/p>\n

\nSeriously, that beach is unreal blue.<\/p>\n

\nIt literally looks as blue as the picture. It looks fake, but it really does look that crystal blue in person.<\/p>\n

\nWe enjoyed this restaurant\/bar so much that we called the grandparents and asked them to bring everyone down here for lunch.<\/p>\n

\nEveryone’s here for lunch now. Adult play time is over.<\/p>\n

\nAhi poke, can get this everywhere in Hawaii. I’m cool with that.<\/p>\n

\nI can’t get over how blue that water looks.<\/p>\n

\nAfter lunch, it’s time to pick up laundry. How are there still cash only cabs here on the island? I called this by Uber, so I didn’t pay cash. But surprised at how cash is still a big thing here. Must be because of all the Asian travelers here.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nGot laundry, and it’s now more pool time.<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nHot tub to warm up after some pool time. The weather is just about perfect. It’s just barely hot, but not too hot where you are sweating nonstop. It’s nice to have an easy day at the resort to have a slow day.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\nAfter swimming time, a little rest time, then time for our main event tonight, a luau. The girls went shopping earlier and got all of us matching Hawaiian shirts. It’s shark pattern and apparently there’s 150 unique sharks on our shirts. Cool.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nEven ah ma got in the mood and got a dress.<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nPunk most of the time, and really cute sometimes.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\nExcited for the luau. The kids have no idea we are going to a luau. We try to keep things a surprise for them during travel to build excitement for fun.<\/p>\n

\nPretty picturesque.<\/p>\n

\n3 generations all wearing the same shirt. Ah gong wasn’t into the shirt until he saw me and little KL both wearing it, then he was into the idea.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\nAll these pictures were because we had to wait in line for the luau to start.<\/p>\n

\nSeriously though, it looks like a postcard.<\/p>\n

\nTime for the song and dance show. We had 3 drinks tickets per person. Seeing that 5 of us don’t drink, that means 21 tickets for just me and RL…we actually didn’t drink much and thought about giving away some of our drink tickets to others.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nAh ma got him a little gift at the craft stands at the luau.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\nKids got to visit the kids buffet first, now it’s the adult’s turn to visit the buffet. Kids, stay put, eat your food, and don’t mess around.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\nTypical luau fare. I wish I was more hungry so I could eat more.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nThere will be fireworks later.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nUsing some of my drink tickets.<\/p>\n

\nGetting tired. Still jetlagged.<\/p>\n

\nEveryone’s favorite part, the fire show.<\/p>\n

\nThat was fun…sort of. Kids got a little bored, I got a little bored, but felt like it was essential that we do at least one luau.<\/p>\n

\nNow we wait around the lagoon for the fireworks to start.<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nThere was one Asian lady who was really drunk playing in the water and laying down on the sand. RL said that she’s acting like a typical drunk girl from a Korean tv drama.<\/p>\n

\nYay, it’s starting.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"
\n5 minutes or so later, it stopped? That’s it? We started to leaving.<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nThen it started again. Cool.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\nGlad the kids got to see the fireworks. Now, time to go back to our room and put the kids to bed. Tomorrow is a travel day to Kauai.<\/p>\n
