Continued from Kauai Day 2<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\nWoke up to another beautiful day here in Kauai.<\/p>\n

\nRL got everyone coffee and breakfast at the onsite cafe.<\/p>\n

\nThey were short on chocolate croissants so I just had a regular croissant this morning while the kids had chocolate. CL told me that I can have all of her chocolate crumbs after she’s done eating hers. I guess that’s kinda sweet…<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nSo excited. The plan today is just to enjoy the resort pools and relax.<\/p>\n

Last night when we got back to the resort after the boat ride, we saw a lot of cars parking at the valet. We assuming it was all the people checking in and were preparing for a busy day today at the pool. That wasn’t quite the case, if anything, I feel like there’s even less people today by the pools. Perhaps all those people were here for some event at their events space last night?<\/p>\n

\nThe salt water lagoon.<\/p>\n

\nI forgot my sunglass in the car, so I had to walk all the way to the parking lot to get it.<\/p>\n

\nLooks like a postcard.<\/p>\n

\nMy son says I have a 6 pack.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\nHawaii is definitely not a big party spot. In fact, I think they try their best not to sell too much alcohol. The bars here at the resort don’t open until 11am and even on Waikiki, they tend to close early as well.<\/p>\n

\nMore food.<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nPoke for the win.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\nSit around the pool and drink. Pretty nice if I do say so.<\/p>\n

\nHawaii definitely attracts a certain slice of society. We’ve seen very very few tattoos on the tourists who visit Hawaii.<\/p>\n

\nAfter spending most of the day just lounging around the pool swimming, it’s time for dinner. This is one of the possible dinner spots for us tonight.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\nBut this is where we really want to eat. They had no reservation spots left, so we came right at opening to see if we can snag a table for 7 as a walk in.<\/p>\n

\nWaiting for the restaurant to open. But as it turns out, they did have seats for 7 until much later tonight, so I guess it’s to the other restaurant with the live ukulele singer.<\/p>\n

\nI mean, this isn’t a bad choice at all either.<\/p>\n

\nAh gong was lazy and didn’t want to come eat with us tonight. So we’ll just bring some to go food for him.<\/p>\n

\nLove the fried garlic crumbles on the rice. Yum. I had swordfish, and it was the most tender swordfish I ever had.<\/p>\n

\nRL and I sent the kids back to the room with ah ma. We went back to the first restaurant that we couldn’t get seats for, but this time to visit their bar.<\/p>\n

\nPlenty of bar seating available still.<\/p>\n

\nRL and I both wondered if there was something going on between Stevenson and Princess Ka’iulani…<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nEveryone has been so expensive in Hawaii, but the liquor prices here are actually pretty similar to Austin.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nI like the Umiki and the Kurayoshi 12 year. I couldn’t stand the Yama, but apparently most people tend to like the Yama.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\nOban 14 year was also a good one.<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nPort flight.<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nLast flight for the night.<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nAs we were finishing up our drinks, we got a call from ah ma saying that Little KL has gotten hives all of his body. We come back to the room to find him itching all over. I wonder what’s causing this allergic reaction? Some zyrtec and Benadryl solved the hives, but we couldn’t figure out what caused them in the first place.<\/p>\n
