\nPiranha, and they are actually in a separate tank located just behind the tank holding all the other smaller fish in front. Gives the illusion that they are all housed in the same tank.<\/p>\n

\nActually, this is an awesome museum gift shop. They’ve got these Mr. Fossil real fossil that they sell and they are super neat. I want a piece of fossil for my home!<\/p>\n

\nCL got this at the museum shop, an owl (apparently) she named it sherbet.<\/p>\n

\nWe are heading to lunch, I think jetlag is hitting for all of us.<\/p>\n

\nThe original bubble tea was invented by this teahouse. This isn’t the original location, but one of the many branches around town. Still pretty cool to drink bubble tea at the OG restaurant chain though.<\/p>\n

\nWe invited our driver to dine with us.<\/p>\n

\nYeah, we are all fading quickly. We had plans to visit another museum after lunch…but probably not prudent dealing with tired kids and tired parents.<\/p>\n

\nAh Ma accidentally knocked over a cup of milk tea. You can see the cup there with half of it poured onto the table. I’m surprised not more of it poured out. Made a mess, but the staff came by quickly to help us clean up.<\/p>\n

\nI got beef noodle soup, which I didn’t grow up eating because my parents didn’t eat beef. RL said it reminds her a little of an Irish stew. It makes sense the moment she said it.<\/p>\n

\nLook at this funny shaped plant.<\/p>\n

\nForgot what I was saying, but I think I was probably teasing little KL because he’s been kind of a butt.<\/p>\n

\nSo tired, we are so tired. Must fight jet lag. We are waiting for our driver to get the car to pick us back up. Must go visit one more place to force us to stay awake for a bit longer.<\/p>\n

\nOur driver suggested a little street arts and crafts market.<\/p>\n

\nThey also had a store with claw machines here.<\/p>\n

\nOne of the claw machines was filled with dicks and more dicks. I think we’ll stand in front of this one so the kids won’t see it…<\/p>\n

\nWe all tried and tried, but no one could get any prizes. Kids, gambling is bad.<\/p>\n

\nBack to the crafts market, the kids wanna get something.<\/p>\n

\nThat’s one prickly tree.<\/p>\n

\nAfter crafts market, I wanted visit a stall that sold red bean cakes.<\/p>\n

\nRL mentioned that they taste like pancakes…then it clicks again. They do taste like pancakes!<\/p>\n

\nAh ma wanted to buy some fruits. So she visited a store that sold nothing but fruits. Taiwanese love their fruits.<\/p>\n

\nJust one single stall 2 post lift in what’s normally a walking arcade. Imagine having this in America with our zoning regulations.<\/p>\n

\nAlright, let’s go back home. Time for a nap.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\nBut before that nap, a beer. This is a $12 beer from the hotel bar. That’s $$$$$ even for hotel bar standards. But it’s been so hot, this beer really hit the spot.<\/p>\n

\nWoke up really grumpy from jetlag nap. Now, we try to wake up the kids too who are napping at my grandma’s apartment.<\/p>\n

\nWhile the kids are trying to wake up from their nap, I’ll sit in grandma’s massage chair.<\/p>\n

\nBento boxes for dinner tonight.<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nNot just any bento box though, this is from a very popular restaurant that I used to eat as a kid. So good.<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nAnd of course, ah ma made soup.<\/p>\n

\nAnd fruits.<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nTime to go back to our hotel. We saw this cicada emerging from the ground trying to make it to a tree to shed its shell. They are everywhere right now.<\/p>\n

\nOur hotel, and our home for most of our stay in Taiwan. Glad to have some separation from the kids, but yet still only be one block away. Now…let’s hope I can sleep most of the night and not wake up in the middle of the night.<\/p>\n
