\nWith another kid sick, we went to the grocery store to see if we can find some more medicine. Unlike Little KL whose symptoms was mostly just a fever, CL has developed a hefty cough as well.<\/p>\n

\nThe pharmacy stand in the grocery store. All the condoms up and front, nice. I did find a couple cough medicines for CL so hopefully we can get that more under control.<\/p>\n

\nBack at the airbnb.<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nAfter getting harassed by all the hat sellers here, I was also on a mission to buy myself a hat that I’d actually wear. Found this Colombian national football team hat at the clothing section in the grocery store. Sweet! I really like it.<\/p>\n

On another note, considering that Colombia is a huge coffee producing country and the national team is nicknamed The Coffee Growers, coffee isn’t as prevalent as you’d think. The cafes that serve coffee don’t open up early, and coffee shops in general aren’t abundant like I had hoped.<\/p>\n

\nRL, CH, and DH wanted to go out and do some walking, shopping, etc.<\/p>\n

\nMeanwhile, I had enough outing for the day, so I stayed behind and translated the medicine instructions on my phone.<\/p>\n

\nThe ladies found a little open air market with booth filled with handmade items.<\/p>\n

\nThis guy thought he was in a photo RL took of the street and had posed for it so then RL took an actual photo of him.<\/p>\n

\nSuch a cool wall of plants.<\/p>\n

\nThis is the trunk of the grape vine that grows from the courtyard and covers the entire third floor terrace. It’s basically a medium sized tree. Definitely the biggest grape vine I’ve ever seen. I want one.<\/p>\n

\nAll that vine covering is part of the grape vine. So cool.<\/p>\n

Now, time for nap. Zzzzzz…<\/p>\n

\nPost nap, time to get some dinner.<\/p>\n

\nWe are going to walk to the other side of Old Town, the busier side of Old Town for dinner.<\/p>\n

\nOld town makes for good photos.<\/p>\n

\nAgain, losing it at dinner time. He’s no longer sick, but CL is still sick. Her fever has gotten much better, but she’s got this very stubborn cough that won’t go away and is sounding pretty bad.<\/p>\n

\nCrab fingers…only 3.<\/p>\n

\nMore calamari. Everyone loves them and it’s on all the menus here.<\/p>\n

\nWe ordered two chicken nuggets and one fish nugget.<\/p>\n

\nI think this one is the fish? Maybe? We had to tear them open to tell.<\/p>\n

\nThe Colombian coconut milk seafood stew is the bomb. Again, all the soups and stews here are incredible.<\/p>\n

\nMy dish, whole fried sea bass.<\/p>\n

\nAfter dinner, since we’ve already walked to this part of town, might as well check out the sights here. If we see some of the stuff here tonight, then it would free up our last day for this trip to do nothing.<\/p>\n

\nMuch more touristy over here. Feels like New Orleans. A lot more people out and about as well, having to dodge a lot of people just walking here.<\/p>\n

\nGold Museum.<\/p>\n

\nAll the Christmas decor are up. I’m glad we came here at night to see all the festivities.<\/p>\n

\nSantuario de San Pedro Claver lit up with a light projection. Cool.<\/p>\n

\nFestive, but the crowds are getting to us. It’s hard to keep 8 people together when there are 3 kids in this kinda crowd.<\/p>\n

\nIt’s a warm Christmas, but still kinda cool to see all the Christmas decor here.<\/p>\n

\nIt’s like a mad house here with the crowd. We were all getting overwhelmed.<\/p>\n

\nOh look…horse carriages. When we first saw them carrying passengers for sightseeing in Old Town, we joked that we were going to have BH and DH take the kids for a ride in one…But wait, a horse carriage could get us out of this crowd and back to our airbnb quickly and easy!! Let’s do it!<\/p>\n

\nWe got two carriages for 8 of us and for 90,000 Colombian Pesos each, or roughly 24 dollars plus tip, we were able to avoid a 15min plus walk through crowds, get back quickly and comfortably while having the kids enjoy a horse carriage ride. Sweet!<\/p>\n

\nI think we all had a fun time on the carriages.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nThis is the best idea ever. It was pretty tough dodging all the other people on these narrow sidewalks.<\/p>\n

\nAnd just like that, we came back in style and I’m going to enjoy a beer to celebrate. Tomorrow, we’ve got a driver picking us up at 9am. So breakfast will start earlier at 8am.<\/p>\n
