We’ve got a short break at home base before we go to our one timed event for the day, British Museum.<\/p>\n

\n7 Dials. We are close enough to the British Museum that we’ll just walk there.<\/p>\n

\nAnd we are here.<\/p>\n

\nGo through security to enter.<\/p>\n

\nWhat does that sign say?<\/p>\n

\nOh yeah…there were a lot of people sitting on the steps. Guess its not enforced.<\/p>\n

\nAnd we are in! We made a reservation for a timed entry only to arrive to find out that they are not enforcing any reservations at all. You show up, you get in for free with or without any reservations…and I had to pay for the reservations!!! Oh well, at least it goes to the museum. I I just wished that I knew they didn’t enforce the timed entry so I could just drop by whenever.<\/p>\n

\nIt’s kind of hot here in the atrium with all that glass roof.<\/p>\n

\nIt was crowded so PL offered to go up there to take a photo for me since she said she’s smaller and can squeeze through.<\/p>\n

\nLKL is so intent on putting bunny ears on his sisters heads that he looks at them instead of at the camera.<\/p>\n

\nThen a bunch of pottery from RL’s photos. One parent is on LKL duty, the other parent is on camera duty. Girls are generally self roaming.<\/p>\n

\nNever once did any of my kids chill out and fall asleep like that in a public space.<\/p>\n

\nLoves gold. Like seriously, squeaks “Gold!” and runs across the room. How did this attitude come about? I definitely don’t think we fostered it as RL and I couldn’t care less about jewelry.<\/p>\n

\nWe’ve walked a lot today, our legs are tired.<\/p>\n

\nThat’s a pretty big difference to go from Africa to Europe…what’s next, Asia? RL says this reminds her of the Indian Jones and the Crystal Skull movie.<\/p>\n

\nEaster Island called, they’d want that back…and Egypt wants all the Egyptian stuff that the British archeologists took back in the day.<\/p>\n

\nFound art! CL said that this water damage stain looks like a bird. It does, doesn’t it?<\/p>\n

\nWas there a fight to see who gets to model this treasure?<\/p>\n

\nCL asked if we knew what this was, we said yes, it’s a cloak. She said no, it’s a barber cape. I mean…it could be.<\/p>\n

\nAlright, that’s all we’ve got for the day here. Time to visit the gift shop.<\/p>\n

\nWe decided to find a place to sit while the girls kept on going with more gift shop browsing.<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nAll done, let’s get out of there and go find some dinner. The Girls said the gift shop was their favorite part by far…<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\nDinner spot.<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nPrivate part. We waited, and they were supposed to be open. I see people inside, but the door is locked. Finally someone came out when they saw us standing around and looking in….oh wait…the door opens inwards and I kept on pulling on it. I’m an idiot…<\/p>\n

\nThey must know what they were doing what they wrote I love BM, right? Right?<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\nUltimate Japanese comfort food for me, Katsudonburi.<\/p>\n

Dinner hit the spot. The kids love sushi and they’ve been asking for sushi for a couple of days now.<\/p>\n

\nSun dial on each different side with wildly different patterns. This one doesn’t work as accurately, but it makes sense.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\nSunny day, gonna make use of our rooftop terrace this evening. The sun sets super late so it’s still quite sunny.<\/p>\n

\nCutie.<\/p>\n

\nRL’s rhubarb pie from Borough Market this morning. She said it only tasted ok.<\/p>\n

\nOur dryer kept on stopping with the code “container”. Some Googling yielded that we need to dump out the water. I guess instead of venting to the outside, the water from the wet clothes just condenses into this container and you then just dump it out when it’s full.<\/p>\n
