\nBack down inside the Arc looking at the video screen. Let’s see if we can spot RL and LKL.<\/p>\n

\nThey were out of screen and finally were able to direct them to be in the frame. The are just pretty much in the center of the photo here just to the lower right of the round metal. I asked them to wave at us, which they did. And later when we met back together. RL said she looked like an idiot waving at the bottom of the Arc, hah. No one else seemed to know there was a camera up there.<\/p>\n

\nBack down the stairs and we are all ready to reunite and go find some lunch.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\nAnother cobblestone picture.<\/p>\n

\nAlright, let’s go get some lunch. It’s hot here in Paris.<\/p>\n

\nMan, the clouds look very cool in this picture.<\/p>\n

\nWhile we were climbing the stairs, LKL and RL had a lunch place picked out nearby. LKL would pick sushi for every single meal possible if he had a choice, so obviously he picked sushi for lunch.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nAgain, traveling in a party of 5 with 3 hungry children means that you can order the biggest item on the menu, the biggest sushi boat!<\/p>\n

\nLunch was good. Everyone’s happy with it, yum.<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nIt’s a really hot day and even though we’ve only seen Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe, just all the walking around and to from the subway stops has all of us tired out…I know, I know. Honestly, the heat is just killing us. We called an Uber to take us to our next stop.<\/p>\n

\nGonna need a third row for us.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nYeah…this is much nicer than getting on a subway and standing\/waiting around for 30 minutes.<\/p>\n

\nNice. This area right North of the Arc seems like a wealthy area.<\/p>\n

\nHave not the slightest clue what kind of car this is.<\/p>\n

\nOh, there’s a fire going on far in the distance towards the directed we are headed…hope it’s nothing too major.<\/p>\n

\nSacred Heart basilica in sight….and the smoke from the fire seems to be behind it…hopefully the fire isn’t close to it.<\/p>\n

\nLots of traffic at this intersection.<\/p>\n

\nWe drove by a cemetery and talked about how big the tombs are, to which CL replied, “Oh yeah, they are big! They are as big as portapotties!!” LOL.<\/p>\n

\nStuck behind this slow moving tourist tram. Now making the climb uphill.<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nWe are here! Exited the Uber at the exact time that this beauty drove by. I think this is the first Citreon DS I’ve seen here in France.<\/p>\n

\nWell, there she is. I should show all of the rest of the family Rendezvous video so maybe they would appreciate this location more?<\/p>\n

\nKids were more interested in all the locks that people left behind here.<\/p>\n

\nHey look, everyone is looking at the camera and smiling.<\/p>\n

\nI actually think the vantage point from the top of the Arc is better. Of course, the view from Eiffel is the best.<\/p>\n

\nIt’s really hot up here. It’s just really hot in Paris right now. There’s a heatwave in Europe right now and is supposed to get even hotter next week like into the 100s!!! And a lot of people here don’t have AC in their homes, must be miserable.<\/p>\n

\nIt’s hot, must find a way to cool down.<\/p>\n

\nI’m hot.<\/p>\n

\nHeat makes me grumpy I guess.<\/p>\n

\nKids pointed out this stand selling slushie and ice cream. OK, let’s do it.<\/p>\n

\nEveryone’s happy now, even RL despite her face.<\/p>\n

\nLet’s find a shaded area to enjoy our cooling items.<\/p>\n

\nThese are still some of these trinket sellers here in Paris. I remember there were even more over a decade ago.<\/p>\n

\nWe decided not to wait in line and go inside. We’ve seen many churches already and the kids are tired of seeing inside of churches. I get it.<\/p>\n

\nAlright, time to take the stairs down the hill and go catch a subway back to home base.<\/p>\n

\nWell, found the fire. Much farther away than it looked from earlier on the drive here.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\nPL pretending to slide down….except…she just squatted there and didn’t move.<\/p>\n

\nRandom find for RL. We got down the stairs and walked by an antique shop. RL has been sad since we’ve been to Paris. She was hoping to attend this flea market in Paris except it’s only open on Saturdays and Sundays….and we got in on Sunday and will leave….Saturday. Hopefully she’ll find some treasures inside this shop instead. Too many breakable items inside, so I’ll stay out on the sidewalk with the kids while RL browses inside.<\/p>\n

\nThese slushies that we are drinking have some serious amounts of food coloring inside.<\/p>\n

\nThe blue tongue gang.<\/p>\n

\nThis is Paris like I remember, a little grimy and dirty. Lots of cigarette butts. Lots of people still smoke here, and many people vape as well.<\/p>\n

\nHasn’t moved in a long time is my guess. Broken handle bar and flat tires.<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nRL got done shopping and we walked the rest of the way to our station. This area East of Sacred Heart must be an immigrant neighborhood. Everyone, and I do mean like 99% of the people here are all Africans speaking in their own languages. Very different than the rest of the Paris that we’ve seen so far.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nI wonder how this area became an immigrant neighborhood. The buildings here look just like any other buildings in other parts of central Paris.\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\nBack at Les Halles. It’s been a hot tiring day. Kids are enjoying this screen where if you walk in front of it it turns you into a digital animal.<\/p>\n

\nFancy taxi.<\/p>\n

\nGot back to our airbnb, must make myself a coffee. Chill out for a couple of hours, then it’s out to get some dinner.<\/p>\n

\nBeen out and about all day, we all decided that we want a meal at home. There’s a kebab place inside the Les Halles mall. RL and I left the kids home on their ipads while we went out buying food to go.<\/p>\n

\nKids have been watching One Piece, and apparently it’s really popular here in France as well.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nGot the food home.<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nDecent, but not quite the same as the ones from Berlin.<\/p>\n

\nEveryone’s happy eating food at home, on ipads, and in AC.<\/p>\n

\nOh wait, we need some eggs for tomorrow. Went to the express Carrefour right by the corner and this is how they store their eggs. Why is it that we keep our eggs in the fridge in US and they don’t here?<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nFamily Naruto time to close out the night. The TV for our airbnb is still not fixed, and based on the communication with the host, does not seem like it’ll be fixed in time that we’ll be here. So I guess we’ll all watch it on the small screen here.<\/p>\n
