\nOur favorite part about the interior. We found the AC vents!!!! OMG, it feels so nice. It’s so miserably hot and crowded in here.<\/p>\n

\nWe’ve had enough for these crowds and heat, let’s get out of here.<\/p>\n

\nInto the garden, where we are hoping to find a cafe.<\/p>\n

\nNo cafe in sight, but the staff did point us to a drinking fountain.<\/p>\n

\nAnd by drinking fountain, it’s really just a faucet to fill up our water bottle.<\/p>\n

\nWe were all so thirty and had been out of water for so long I actually ended up filling it up a couple of times.<\/p>\n

\nYes, I know we don’t want to see the garden because it’s so stupid hot. But let’s at least take a quick photo before we leave.<\/p>\n

\nAt the gift shop. CL begged and begged and begged to buy this clock as a souvenir. I finally gave in and got it for her. It was like 50 Euros or something like that and heavy! Better remember it forever.<\/p>\n

\nAlright, let’s leave this place. We came, and we saw. That’s about it. It’s honestly too hot and crowded to be enjoyable.<\/p>\n

\nRL wanted to go to a cafe nearby to get something cooling before we make the rest of the walk to the train station.<\/p>\n

\nLKL, I want a bite of that ice cream too.<\/p>\n

\nNothing like a cold beer after being hot and sweaty. Hit the spot.<\/p>\n

\nGoodbye shade and cold beer, it’s time to go back in the hot sun and walk to the train station.<\/p>\n

\nAnd here we are.<\/p>\n

\nThis return trip train is much more crowded than the way here. We were all fortunate to be able to get seats though.<\/p>\n

\nHad this backpack since 12 years and the rubber parts or the zipper are aging and breaking apart. These are great backpacks that have lasted a lot of traveling though, would buy again.<\/p>\n

\nSuburbs of Paris doesn’t look as inspirational. Also, damn you French trains with no AC. It’s hot!<\/p>\n

\nWhy is this French lady sitting across from me wearing a shirt with a Horns Down logo?<\/p>\n

\nMade it back to Les Halles. Exhausted from the heat.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\nLook at this miserable heat that we are dealing with here in Paris. I believe it’s roughly 30F higher than the average high this time of the year. Crazy.<\/p>\n

\nAfter cooling off at home base, it’s time for some dinner. Foie Gras is still very much a popular thing here in France.<\/p>\n

\nDinner spot.<\/p>\n

\nThey’ve got a fancy foods here.<\/p>\n

\nWe sat outside and my kids pointed out this 3 legged table. Yes! It makes so much sense to have 3 legged tables when pavement is never flat. I wish we would have more 3 legged tables in America.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\nPate, kid’s first time trying. CL just picked up a piece and instead of spreading it over her bread, just started biting chunks out of it like a piece of meat. Haha.<\/p>\n

\nOh, it’s starting to rain.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\nIt’s starting to really rain hard.<\/p>\n

\nIt’s pouring rain, but surprisingly our little canopy over our heads is still keeping 98% of the rain away.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"I ordered RL a French made scotch. She said it was great.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nWe were one of the earlier tables to show up, and soon the restaurant got crowded. Not only that, the crowd that came was like 90% Chinese! We didn’t have this happen at any other restaurant we ate at in Paris. What food recommendation website are all these Chinese people following that all led them to this, and only this, restaurant? It was strange.<\/p>\n

\nOh, I had this dish in Quebec City not long ago!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nOne of those signs or whatnot led to all the Chinese coming here believing it’s the best ever? Well, the food was good, but it was just alright. I don’t know what the fuss is about.<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nTired. The kids were acting up some during dinner, so we told them we would not watch Naruto tonight as punishment.<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nWell…I’m a softie and showed them some other funny videos instead. More Cow Bells!<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nToday is also laundry day. It sucks that the laundry machine is shared for the whole, so we need to stay on top of it and set timers so that we don’t clog up the machine while others are trying to use it. Oh well, at least happy to just have laundry machine in the building I guess.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nIt’s time to go to bed, and it’s time to make my own humidifier again by wetting a large towel with water. The AC is a mini split unit and it blows right onto my face with cold dry air all night. Hopefully this will take care of that issue a little, we shall see.<\/p>\n
