\nIpad time while eating breakfast. Our last day for this long trip, too long. I think all of us agreed that next summer, we\u2019ll do a 2 week trip instead of a 3 week one. We are all feeling homesick.<\/p>\n

\nAirbnbs and having to take out your own trash. I think my favorite preference is to stay at apartments run like a hotel. I just want someone to throw out my trash for me and not have to do that when I check out.<\/p>\n

\nGot a timed entry at 11am, so here we go. We are walking towards the Arno river, maybe a short 10min walk. I really think I would enjoy Florence a lot more if there were maybe 1\/4 of the people here. Is it better in the shoulder season?<\/p>\n

\nPiazza della Signoria with the castle building being Palzaao Vecchio. This is the historic center of Florence, and where the Uffizi Gallery is located, and where we are visiting at 11am.<\/p>\n

\nLKL looked at this screen and said, \u201cLook, World Cup!\u201d Haha. He associates flags from different nations with the World Cup, I guess that\u2019s one way to look at it.<\/p>\n

\nOur timed entry is at 11am, so we won\u2019t have a chance to eat lunch when we get hungry, so a pre-lunch before we go into Uffizi.<\/p>\n

\nOh, randomly discovery. There\u2019s a wine window in this little alley that we are eating in while hiding from the sun.<\/p>\n

\nThey a pretty stringent about security here. I had a large bottle of water and they made me throw it out. Only 500ml bottles allowed, so I guess we don\u2019t have water anymore in this hot day and hot museum. Lame.<\/p>\n

\nYou start Uffizi by climbing to the very top and work your way down.<\/p>\n

\nda Vinci has a certain style. The kids and I talked about Ninja Turtles and how we are seeing all of their works here in Florence. Donatello\u2019s works are harder to see, but I\u2019m sure we\u2019ve seen some here and there.<\/p>\n

\nThere\u2019s a cafe here, but of course it\u2019s overrun and overcrowded. We didn\u2019t even attempt to check it out.<\/p>\n

\nAfter the cafe, there\u2019s a route to the exit for people who are done and don\u2019t want to see anymore. Most of the tour groups probably went this route. We decided to brave it a little bit more and see more of the galleries.<\/p>\n

\nIt\u2019s nice because the crowd died down in this second half significantly. What\u2019s not so nice is that the kids are now all tired and bored and done.<\/p>\n
