\nKids, do the We Are Art pose! I asked the kids afterwards what they liked the most about the museum, and one of them said that this empty canvas where they did the “we are art” was their favorite.<\/p>\n

\nFancy glossy plywood. They are doing some restoration and renovation here in Uffizi.<\/p>\n

\nWish we had more energy and the kids had more patience. We are done, it\u2019s time to get out of here.<\/p>\n

\nStep step step. I waited here in the Uffizi courtyard with CL and LKL while PL went with RL to look at some artwork to buy from one of the many artists that sell their works here.<\/p>\n

\nWhile RL shops for art, we look at pigeons fight over a piece of bread.<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nWhile the pigeons were too busy fighting, this little guy sneaks in for some bites.<\/p>\n

\nNo fucks given, except for her face getting sun. Seriously, WTF. Why not wear a big hat on top of it?<\/p>\n

\nFinally, we get thirsty enough (remember, we had to dump out our water) and it\u2019s taking RL a while. I take CL and LKL to buy some water bottles. By then, RL and PL had reached Ponte Vecchio, the famed bridge here in Florence, so we all decided to meet up there.<\/p>\n

\nLots of jewelry shops here on the bridge.<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nAnd it\u2019s very crowded here. I didn\u2019t even bother walking across the bridge.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\nI mean, it\u2019s a bridge with buildings on it. I think I\u2019ve just seen enough stuff traveling that I\u2019m not as wowed by hardly anything anymore. The Siena Cathedral was still pretty cool though.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\nAlright, that\u2019s enough hecticness for today. Time to head back to Airbnb. Tomorrow, we are heading home, finally, so it\u2019s time to chill out.<\/p>\n

\nRandomly walked by this raku fired clock store. Sure, we\u2019ll get one as a souvenir. Not the most traditional Florence souvenir choice, but it is made here locally I guess.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\nBack to the grocery store. We are now going to get a little bit of food for part two of lunch after Uffizi.<\/p>\n

\nJust something light to tie us over until dinner time.<\/p>\n

Nap nap nap, pack pack pack, excited to be going back home.<\/p>\n

\nAnd it\u2019s dinner time.<\/p>\n

\nWho buys all of this crap anyway? How do these vendors even make a living all selling the same thing? There was one of the sellers trying to feed a pigeon.<\/p>\n

\nFound dinner spot. It was a restaurant that was recommended to me by the Italian Airbnb customer support when we were trying to resolve the liability waiver issue.<\/p>\n

\nThen the craziness starts. I thought it was just one room, like almost every single restaurant I\u2019ve been to this whole trip.<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nBut then it just keeps going\u2026and going and going. It\u2019s apparently expanded so much over the years that it\u2019s taken over the first floor of like 5 contiguous buildings or something.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\nFinally reached our table. That was crazy because the entrance of the restaurant looks sp small, like a normal sized restaurant.<\/p>\n

\nLKL\u2019s favorite, and what\u2019s even better is that it\u2019s over cantaloupes! Two of his favorites on one single plate.<\/p>\n

\nThis one doesn’t have great table manners.<\/p>\n

\nI swear, it\u2019s almost as if he saves his poop for restaurants.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\nCool restaurant\u2026but the food is taking A LONG TIME. The kids are getting antsy, we are getting antsy. We want to finish and go home and pack. Should have asked for all the food to come out at the same time instead of the appetizers first.<\/p>\n

\nLike every single Italian meals we\u2019ve had, the food was good.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\nNow that we are done, we get to walk across multiple buildings worth of restaurant to leave. So unexpectedly big.<\/p>\n

\nWe eat early. The restaurant was pretty empty when we came in, but completely full when we left.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Tonight, we pack pack and pack. Tomorrow, we\u2019ve got a early 7:05am flight back home. Wish there were later flights, but none was available to still be able to make a connecting flight to Austin.<\/p>\n
