Paris 2026 Day 5 Part 1

Continued from Paris 2026 Day 4 Part 2.

Well, falling way behind on blogging already. I’m already 6 days behind as I write this!! Let’s get to it.

RL’s been awesome making us breakfast daily. Yum yum.

I woke up too late to enjoy breakfast on the porch. Buy the time I got up, the sun was shining high enough for there not to be much shade on the patio.

PL is the only one who hasn’t gotten her souvenir here in Paris, since we couldn’t find her a baguette holder. She got a charm bracelet in London and this morning RL taking her to buy a charm bracelet to add on to it in Paris as well.

Mission accomplished. RL ended up buying her a nicer bracelet than the one she got in London as that one was from a very cheep souvenir shop.

We are heading to Versailles today. Our original reservation was for yesterday at like 10am…which felt a little early for us since it’s about an hour to get out there. Since Trump was visiting Versailles yesterday and our ticket got refunded, I made reservations for early afternoon instead so we could sleep in this morning.

They love this thing so much.

Cute, except these two fight all the time. Seriously, its constant.

He has no idea how he managed to get a little bruise on his chin. We don’t know either.

Got on the train, the train is hot with no AC. It’ll be a hot ride all the way to Versailles.

One of these boats anchored along the river had a whole swimming pool on it! I’m talking like an olympic sized pool and the whole point of the boat was to hold the pool.

We made it, took about 45minutes. We are already hot. It’s been really really hot in Paris, like in the low 90s. It’s heatwave and supposed to get even hotter next week!

Some restaurants across the train station where we’ll go eat. We haven’t had lunch yet so we are all a little bit hangry.

This was the default choice since we know we can get our food quickly and still make our entry time to Versailles. RL and I got in an argument about eating here. I won.

Big Mac still tastes the same, but the dipping sauces for the nuggets are definitely not the same as the US.

Alright, lunch done, let’s make the really hot sunny walk to Versailles.

Found the shaded path….with my favorite trees, London Plane.

This is what I remember about Versailles. Wide open with zero shade cover, and hot as fuck.

It’s so damn sunny and hot!

They complained about the sun’s glare, of course.

Now, we are in line for our timed entry. The line goes all the way forward, then hooks left and the entrance is where the palm trees are to the left. We lined up with about 10 min to go for our timed entry and this is where we are…there are a shit load of people here. Kinda miserable.

Yay, finally in the shade…and there’s so many people it’s still hot. Look how sunburnt and sweaty the kids in blue is, that’s a great representation of what waiting in that line was like.

Inside, there is barely any AC and with all the crowds, its stifling in most of the rooms.

Oops.

Let’s try again.

It’s hot, it’s crowded…the crowds makes it hot.

Nice garden, but I don’t want to be out there in the blaring sun.

He’s hot, and keeps asking for water. I’ve only got one bottle to share for all of us and we’ve already run out.

The ceiling of the chapel. I think these ceilings are always what impresses me the most.

It’s hot.

I wonder what they are constructing? Hopefully it’s an AC system for Versailles, because whatever AC system they have isn’t keeping up at all. I know it’s record breaking heat right now, but it’s miserably hot.

Hall of mirrors. Look that this crowd!!! Miserable visiting experience. You just keep on getting pushed along by the crowd and you don’t really get to look at anything in detail.
