Pretty good bar food.

CL tries to eat PL’s hair. PL thinks this is funny.

Back to the hotel for a nap for everyone and then off the the Aquarium. Don’t worry, as I am the one blogging this there will not be a million and one photos of fish on here. However, there may  be a  million and one photos of our kids…

Still a bit groggy from her nap.

A bad start. PL was NOT a fan of this shark person.

Loves the aquarium. When we took PL to the aquarium on the Charleston trip we thought maybe she’d just been too young to enjoy it or really pay attention. Nope, totally a personality thing. This 10 months old was fascinated!

Since she saw the human shark, she did not want to leave the safety of her stroller. Poor scared thing.

Speaking of Denny’s…

A short lived and hectic dinner as PL was over excited from her day full of stimulating things. We try to distract her so the others can eat in peace.

After Denny’s we went back to the hotel, put the kids to bed with the grandparents in charge and left for our night out. We’d planned a double date night with some friends who live in Houston. Benno’s restaurant it is! We didn’t eat at Denny’s to save room for this!

We actually really enjoyed the food here. Definitely this best we’ve had while in Galveston. And the staff were all super nice(all international, a lot of them students).

The only thing that was just meh was this muffaletta. Couldn’t hold a candle to the New Orleans one.

DSC02028
Key lime pie. YUM!

DSC02032
Get closer, KL says.

DSC02034
More mug wine!

Forgot to take a photo of this last night. After we’d put the kids to bed, KL and I were in the bathroom brushing our teeth when I glanced down and saw the counter front was slowly sliding to the ground. The glue was stretching and stretching, right before it broke KL was able to slide it to the ground. Craziness. I’d noticed when we first checked in to the hotel that there was a very large gap between the counter top and the face. Had thought it was just build sloppily and not that it was actually coming apart! What if that had fallen on one of our kids! The hotel apologized and gave us free breakfast for the next morning.

To be continued at Home, Sweet Home.
